How the hell do you cut a Chisel?

Actually, you don't have to at all!

There is a former ad by La Flor Dominicana that demonstrates the optimal cut for smoking their (now trademarked) Chisel shaped cigars. The ad shows a punch-cut through the top of the chiseled end. Others smokers have used the punch-cut through the top AND bottom of the chiseled end, and some have reported punching through the entire chiseled end, from top to bottom. Another option is to use a scissor cutter or double guillotine. Using a V-cutter is not recommended, as it will likely damage the tip.

But as I stated, you really don't need to cut these cigars at all. Quite simply, a gentle squeeze of the two points of the chiseled end will cause a nice even split of the cap, with no damage to the cap or the wrapper. Surprisingly, the split end will allow for a perfect draw.

Give it a try!
